ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS MADE IN THE USA

American manufacturing has undergone a revolution over the past 20 years.  Despite all the gloom and doom, America is actually the number one manufacturing nation on earth.

According to Consumer Reports National Research Center, when given a choice between products made in America and  identical products made overseas 78% of Americans would prefer purchasing the American made product.

Survey results also showed that keeping American manufacturing strong by retaining manufacturing jobs was seen as very important to over 80 percent of the U.S. population.

When you do the research and learn the facts it's clear that most Americans want to know where the products they are using are made – and – they want to purchase products that will help create or keep jobs here in the U.S.  This is also true for industrial products.

At Remke at least 95% of our products are manufactured & assembled in our suburban Chicago locations.  We’re keeping the jobs in the USA and we’re shipping product to you from Chicago – not somewhere overseas.

Why American Made Matters!

Being a Manufacturing Power

After WWII, the US was almost 50% of the global economy, bringing manufacturing to its peak. During America’s manufacturing peak we produced 80% of the world’s automobiles. Almost all of the products we used were manufactured in the US.  However, since 2001 more than 56,000 factories have left the United States. We need to be and remain the world’s manufacturing powerhouse.

Manufacturing Means Jobs

At its height, American manufacturing employed more than 19 million people. Over the last couple of decades, along with losing our factories, we have lost jobs.  According to the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), manufacturing in the United States currently employs just over 12 million people. Although losing more than 7 million jobs is bad, what is more alarming is that unlike the service sector for every manufacturing job there are approximately 1.6 jobs created.

Manufacturing Keeps America Competitive

According to the NAM review of National Science Foundation reports, manufacturers in the US perform two-thirds of all private sector R&D in the nation, driving more innovation than any other sector. Our engineers, techs, and science professionals keep us abreast of technologies, advancements, and developments.
